Yeah, but most of the offensive stuff on the show comes under the guise of Glee being ~groundbreaking~ or something. Glee is frightfully racist and ableist and transphobic (top 3 that I can think of right now, but there are many more), and what makes it worse is that it presents itself as a show that is pushing boundaries and addressing teen issues that haven’t been shown before.
The characters on Glee that are outright offensive (like Sue or the judges you talked about) aren’t the ones I have a problem with. It’s more ingrained in the writing of the show (ie tokenizing is pretty apparent, and many characters are identified by only their race/sexuality/weight/disability/etc rather than given unique qualities).
Most of the characters in Glee are pretty bad, and all of the writing is as well. Combined with how offensive it is, I’m still so shocked as to how and why it’s got such a huge following.

Crying from this gif, thank you Andrea
Simoneee! I am doing well, just schooling, working, and hanging around. The usual haha. How have you been doing?!
Hahahahaha this is wonderful omg. Anon, who are you?! And where did you find amazing shark-related comics? And how do you know of my love and adoration for sharks? But THANKS :)
Yeah, math can be really difficult, and unfortunately there are too many teachers who utilize methods of explaining the material that aren’t appropriate or don’t suit the way that their students learn and understand concepts.
But really though, if physics/energy/engineering/etc interests you and you feel like you can spend the rest of your life doing it, just go for it! It might take you a couple extra years at a university or a remedial class or something, but that’s nothing compared to the rest of your lifetime. I’m behind as a science major because I originally started out as something totally different and spent time taking things that were for my previous major, but not environmental science. But I figure I might as well pursue what I want and get myself in a position to where my dream jobs and goals will be most feasible, instead of trying to finish as soon as I can with a degree. I’m unfortunately spending more money and will be in school longer but at least I know I’ll be able to do what I want with my life. It’s tough to manage, and I’m thankful that I’ve been given the opportunities to go to school at all, let alone stay there for longer than most people, I know not everyone can do the same.
Sorry this is a novel my god.
<3
I miss you and your face too! How is Oregon?!
Ahh how amazing :) Break a leg, love!
Yes it’s pretty sheer! I do wear one, It’s just a plain black skirt-slip thing (idk if that’s even the right thing to call it haha). I also wear it with tights too, just in case~
Haha I’m sorry for calling him an ass :X but I had read what you wrote and thought it was A+ and I totally agree with what you’re saying.
I agree, sexism and misogyny is so prevalent in our society. It’s clear he’s not an advocate for sexism, but doesn’t fully understand/realize how deeply rooted it is in nearly every aspect of culture. Calling a woman a slut/whore/skank/etc is invoking the idea that a woman’s sexuality is shameful and wrong.
That’s awesome that he’s actually willing to have a conversation about it!
Also, I love you and hope you’re doing welllll :)
